PokerStars SECOOP

Players in France, Spain and Portugal who have been enjoying European shared liquidity and the much-expanded tournament offerings that have come as a result can now look forward to a COOP series just for them. PokerStars has just announced the Southern Europe Championship of Online Poker (SECOOP) to run from Oct. 28 to Nov. 12, with over €10,000,000 in guarantees spread across 149 events.

With buy-ins starting at just €5, players have a wide array of events to choose from. Most will have their eyes on the €250 buy-in Main Event on Nov. 11 that carries with it a €1 million guarantee. Other highlights include two Sunday Specials on Oct. 28 and Nov. 4 with guarantees of €300,000 and €350,000 respectively.

Another series highlight will be the three $30,000 Platinum Passes up for grabs across the SECOOP Challenge and daily leaderboards, available for all players with the exception of those in Portugal.

Win a Platinum Pass During SECOOP

For the SECOOP Challenge, players collect a stamp each day they participate in at least one SECOOP event. Four stamps will get you entry into one freeroll, while eight stamps will get you into both. The freerolls, which both offer up a Platinum Pass for the winner, will take place on Nov. 18 at 20:00 and 20:15 CET.

“We are happy to transform our renowned COOP series into a COOP specifically for our players in Southern Europe that will allow them to compete for bigger prize pools in prestigious tournaments.”

Another path to a Platinum Pass during the SECOOP is through leaderboards. A total of 16 leaderboards will be running during the series, and the 16 winners will be entered into a freeroll with a Platinum Pass up top.

PokerStars will also provide plenty of opportunities for players to get their hands on free SECOOP tickets as well as added value through daily Second Chance freerolls, a Main Event Depositor freeroll and special Spin & Go’s.

“We are happy to transform our renowned COOP series into a COOP specifically for our players in Southern Europe that will allow them to compete for bigger prize pools in prestigious tournaments,” said Severin Rasset, Director of Poker Innovation and Operations at PokerStars. “Our players have really enjoyed our shared liquidity offerings and we look forward to seeing everyone playing at the SECOOP virtual felt.”
