The flat-Earth activist who's visiting North Wales to "expose the biggest lie of all" says you'll have to ask NASA for the reason they're 'lying' about the Earth's shape.

Harry McDonald, who uses the alias John Smith online, is visiting Snowdon and Holyhead as part of a 56-date UK tour.

The 60-year-old has amassed almost 6,500 subscribers on his YouTube channel - 'John Smith Globe Lie'.

Speaking to the Daily Post, Mr McDonald explained his motives for going on tour.

He said: "I did a tour with two other friends around Scotland and then came up with the idea to do the whole of the UK.

"As soon as I said that, my other friends who think like I do, decided we'd do it properly, so I booked six months off work and got the funding to rent a camper van.

"We want to get around the UK to get to a larger audience.

"We're a week into the tour now and the response has been very positive.

"We've met a lot of people who also know that we're not living on a spinning ball. You also get a lot of people who are very angry about it but I think the positivity outweighs the negativity."

The camper van the group will be driving around the UK will have a number of statements written on the side, including: 'Earth is NOT a magical spinning ball with bendy water', 'Gravity has never been proven', 'Water cannot conform to the outside of a ball', 'NASA presents you with photoshop images, they admit they are NOT PHOTOGRAPHS' and 'There is no real evidence of rockets or satellites in space'.

Mr McDonald has been a 'flat-earther' for four years after deciding to do some research into the topic.

He added: "I found out the moon landings were completely fake.

"I fly drones and I was told they were connected to satellites but I couldn't get them to work, just as I couldn't get my mobile phone to work one day.

"So I decided to do some research into real footage of satellites and I couldn't find any, there was just CGI images.

"That's when I came to realise that I don't live on a spinning ball with water going round it because that cannot be proven and that's why I've taken to the streets".

When asked what reason NASA would have for lying to everybody about the Earth being round, Mr McDonald said: "I suppose you're asking the wrong person because I'm not the person that's lying.

"Just because maybe we don't understand the benefits of the biggest lie of all doesn't mean to say there aren't huge benefits.

"The starting point is that NASA get 52-53 million dollars per day to present the public with CGI images and cartoons, as they have no real actual footage.

"There are other reasons why I suspect they're lying to me but I'd rather not go into that because that's the theoretical realms of possibility."

Harry McDonald will visit Snowdon and Holyhead on September 27 and 28 respectively.

The Daily Post is approaching Nasa for comment.
