Kalonzo and his petulant demands could disintegrate NASA

  • Watching Kalonzo Musyoka and his surrogates language of its either our way or the highway betrays the very essence that brought the four principles together.

It appears the same history of yesteryears is repeating itself. The reality is that this four need each other regardless of who is picked to be the flag bearer.

Defeating jubilee is not a walk in the park and it will require a very strong and united opposition.

Chest thumping and shadow boxing is not the way to go. Anger, frustration and unnecessary demand to be picked as the flag bearer of Nasa is not the best way to go for Kalonzo.

In the eyes of the public, Kalonzo comes out as unreliable and not someone to be taken seriously.

He was used to power and being in opposition is alien to him. I suspect if Kenyatta promises him a space in Jubilee, he will probably change allegiance.

He won't mind being called a chameleon or Judas as long his interests are catered. He has been called names before and he won't mind being labeled a traitor.

What Kalonzo and other principles need to know is that going it alone is what Jubilee is hoping for.

Jubilee is aware that a strong united opposition will pause big challenge even with its massive resources.

Kalonzo and the rest of the principles need to learn from the recent elections of Gambia and Ghana.

Using the language of "oh it must be me, I have sacrificed a lot for others, I was a diplomat" is defeatist, juvenile and very selfish.

In fact, people who have sacrificed more than even Kalonzo are Kenyans who are the victim of mediocre leadership.

To all the four principles, John C. Maxwell once said "Leadership is not about titles, positions, or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another." Good luck in your search for a flag bearer!!!!
